Dillion Harper (Open House)
SCENE opens on Karen, a 20-year-old real estate assistant, as she puts a tray of cookies into the oven. She is preparing one of her new properties for an open house today and wants everything to be perfect. While the cookies bake, she walks through the downstairs to make sure everything is in order: straightening pillows, spraying air freshener, placing a bouquet of flowers on the table, and stacking her house flyers neatly by the door. You can tell the young woman is nervous, it's her first ever showing on her own and she is eager to become an actual seller's agent one day. She checks herself in the mirror and adjusts her pencil skirt and blouse ... before walking out onto the lawn and staking an 'OPEN HOUSE' sign into the ground. A long POV shot shows her walk back into the house and close the door, before a creepy young man steps into the frame and reveals that he has been watching her. He grabs the bulge in his pants and walks towards the house. CUT to Karen arranging the cookies on a plate when the man quietly enters the house. He watches her from the hallway for a moment before noticing him. She steps back startled as he approaches. 'I'm sorry to frighten you,' he says calmly. 'I'm here for the open house.' Karen composes herself and apologizes, quickly snapping into show mode. She offers the man a cookie and begins to show him the kitchen, proudly explaining that this is her first listing as a real estate assistant and, once she sells it, she will be able to move up the ranks in her agency and get a full-time position. While she is explaining, the man lingers behind her staring. POV angles show him watching her every move. She can feel his eyes on him and it makes her nervous. When she asks him questions, he always answers calmly ... but his eyes never leave her. He seems very insistent on seeing the view from the master bedroom. Just as they are about to go upstairs, the doorbell rings and another visitor arrives. Relieved, Karen excuses herself and goes to open the door. She begins to show them around while the man hovers at the stairs, watching her. After a few moments, he slowly walks up the stairs and disappears....
